Until the 70s and 80s, products were sold at a slightly above average level, but now, due to the age and sensibility of business owners, the business has stopped being the same as it was 30 years ago. There is a line to get into some restaurants, but those places are just average. After sunset, people are standing around Itaewon, Yangyang, or Hongdae waiting for someone to talk to them, hoping to have a one-night stand. It doesn't matter if it's a one night stand or anything, but it's not lively and feels like a Southeast Asian red light district.
Great place for English speaking tourists, more cosmopolitan than other parts of Seoul. Good for a wander through leather, clothing and antiques. Wide range of food options, good transport and most importantly great coffee.
Lots of bar and tourists. If you’re up for a noisy night, head down there. Many bars offer happy hours. If you’re lucky, you’ll able to catch beautiful sunset (I was lost).
