Yongmunsa Temple. It is a temple with one national treasure and seven treasures. The yunjangdae is the most famous. It was created in 1670. Yunjangdae is a place to store the Tripitaka Koreana and is a tool for reciting Buddhist scriptures while rotating it. It is the highest luxury item in the Buddhist world. Currently, the oldest Yunjangdae in Korea belongs to Yongmunsa Temple. The Yunjangdae was discovered in 1972. Until now, only records and damaged items had been discovered, but at this time, a perfect pair was discovered for the first time, shocking the academic world. Yunjangdae has been designated as a treasure for some time, but its status was changed to a national treasure in 2019 along with Daejangjeon.Thousand Buddha painting (produced in 1709), wooden seated Amitabha Buddha (produced in 1514), Yeongsanhoe Gwaebultaeng (produced in 1705), Palsangtaeng (produced in 1709), wooden Amitabha Buddha sermon statue (produced in 1684), wooden seated Amitabha Buddha Triad (produced in 1684) (produced in 1684) and Gamyeokgyoji (1457) are treasures.About 5 minutes away is the birthplace of the deceased Biyun Clan. Queen Yoon is famous as the mother of King Yeonsangun. The placenta is a space where the placenta and umbilical cord are buried, and is a unique culture found only in Korea in the world. These are quite interesting works if you are interested in Buddhist culture, Joseon art, or Joseon history.Yongmunsa Temple is inconvenient if you use public transportation, but if you have a car, accessibility is not bad. All you have to do is park and walk a short distance up a not so steep road. Although it is an old temple with many treasures, it has a simple feel. It doesn't take much time to look around the whole thing.

It was founded in 870 during the Unified Silla period. Yunjangdae and Daejangjeon are National Treasure No. 328, and the woodcarved post-Buddha painting behind the Buddha statue in Daejangjeon is Treasure No. 989 and was made in 1663 (4th year of King Hyeonjong’s reign).

I went to see Yunjangdae.I was surprised that it was bigger than I expected. There are also national treasures that have been maintained for a long time, such as Yunjangdae and Daejangjeon. There are many new buildings as well.Queen Yeonsangun's biological mother, the deposed Biyun, and King Jeongjo's eldest son, Crown Prince Munhyo.Taesil is also located here.If you want to do some light hiking, use the parking lot below. If you feel uncomfortable going uphill and stairs, you can go up to the parking lot next to the temple.Since Yecheon is not a popular tourist area, it feels quiet. If you come to this area, this is a temple worth visiting. The restroom is located at the top parking lot and on the road leading to the place of death of the deceased Biyun. It's managed, but there may be no toilet paper.
