희방사

영주 희방사는 경상북도 영주시 풍기읍 수철리에 있는 사찰입니다. 소백산 연화봉 남쪽에 위치하고 있으며, 대한불교조계종 제16교구 본사인 고운사의 말사입니다.

희방사는 643년(선덕여왕 12)에 신라의 승려 두운이 창건하였다고 전해집니다. 당시에는 ‘희방암’이라 불렸습니다. 1850년에 불타 없어졌으나, 1954년에 재건되었습니다.

희방사에는 경상북도 유형문화재 제226호로 지정된 희방사 동종이 있습니다. 희방사 동종은 1742년에 제작된 것으로, 높이가 126cm, 무게가 400kg 정도 되는 청동종입니다.

희방사는 아름다운 자연 경관과 다양한 문화재를 볼 수 있는 곳입니다. 특히, 희방사 앞에 있는 희방계곡은 ‘영남의 제1폭포’로 불릴 만큼 아름다운 곳입니다.

I've been to the temple many times, but this is the first time I've been to a place as unfriendly and strange as this. I don't know if it's the bodhisattva working or the lady, but the hand sanitizer that has a one-year expiration date can be used outdoors after petting the temple cat. I touched the hand sanitizer to use it, but what are you doing? I was very embarrassed and offended because he said it as if he was asking me if he was going to do it. I was really a guest, but he made me come out after praying and followed me to the temple, and the rude way he spoke on his way made me frown.

Nice temple with clouds sitting on top of Sobaeksan Mountain.Many temples with 1,500 years of history were destroyed during the Korean War. The atmosphere appears to have been recently rebuilt.

The famous temple is different no matter what.The temple is small so if you go to the entrance you will seeIt might be a bit disappointingBut there is a lot to see around.Huibang Falls and the hiking trail are very good.Parking is below the entrance if possible.Park and walkThere is a separate parking lot at the entrance to the temple.Because the road is steepIt's very difficult if we meet in the middle.Well then, have a nice trip.

Nice walk, pretty easy going, along a small river. The temple at the top is pretty but looks more like someone's home than a traditional temple.
