Mahaseungsa Temple is located high on Mt. Sabulsan. The road is paved, but it is very winding and rough. You can also go to Myojeokam or Yunpilam in the middle. Daeseungsa Temple parking lot is very spacious. It was quiet, and according to literature records, it was the first old temple built in Mungyeong, and there was a Buddha statue designated as a treasure, so there was something to see. Aside from the rough road, it's a good place to come when you want to spend some quiet time.

It's quiet. Two free-spirited dogs, not even known to be Jindo dogs, welcome you without disappointment.

Sabulsan Daeseungsa Temple is a branch temple of Jikjisa Temple, and its origins are enshrined in the legend of Sabulam Temple. It is a temple with a relatively certain founding date, and is a massive, majestic, and beautiful temple. In particular, the buildings inside the temple are private, unlike ordinary temple buildings. The appearance of the building is unique. The parking lot is also spacious. It is close to the road, so even families can visit the shrine comfortably.

It is said that there is a Mahayana Seonwon and it is a place where many great monks practiced asceticism.I visited twice, but I wasn't able to properly look around other than seeing the wooden carvings of Daeungjeon Hall, which are designated as national treasures.I definitely want to visit again next time and take a closer look.
