Amazing observatory remained still over 1400years. Circular surface of its bottle body is breaking my imagination how they cut the granity stone at that time? With what?

첨성대 (Cheomseongdae), located in Gyeongju, South Korea, is a cultural and astronomical treasure embodying the scientific prowess of the Silla Dynasty. Built during the 7th century, it stands as one of the oldest surviving observatories globally. The observatory's cylindrical stone structure is a testament to ancient Korean advancements in astronomy, showcasing the Silla people's keen understanding of celestial movements. Ascending its steps transports visitors to a bygone era when scholars observed the night sky with precision. Cheomseongdae's historical significance, coupled with its simplicity and antiquity, makes it a captivating site that bridges the gap between ancient science and cultural heritage, offering a unique glimpse into Korea's rich past.

This ancient astronomical observatory is seriously something out of this world. The structure itself is so unique and impressive, and you can really feel the historical significance as you stand there. The attention to detail is incredible, and it's amazing to think about how this observatory was used to study the stars and the universe. Plus, the surrounding area is so peaceful and serene, making it the perfect spot to just sit back and take in the beauty.

Cheomseongdae Observatory. This is a very famous astronomical observatory in the region. It was used to study the stars and thus check the best date for planting and growing food. Records indicate that the observatory was built in the period between 632-647 A.D. The entire region is a large garden where several species of flowers characteristic of the region are found. Koreans take over the place during weekends and holidays. Traffic is complicated in the region as access cannot accommodate so many people! It's a beautiful place and you need to see it with your own eyes! I recommend that you come during the days of the week that are less popular so you can enjoy the tour better!
