After finishing the Poomsae competition at the 2021 National Taekwondo Championships (May 26-29), I visited Bohyeonsan Observatory, located less than 40km away from the Yeongcheon Indoor Gymnasium. It was disappointing that the interior was not open due to the COVID-19 situation, but I enjoyed the clean air. It was a time of healing while looking at the beautiful scenery. Everyone in the group came with a negative coronavirus test result in advance, so it was a short time, but we were free from wearing masks and came back with lots of clean air and good energy. ^^

Bohyeon Mountain Observatory is located in Bohyeon Mountain, Hwabuk-myeon, Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.It is an astronomical observatory built at the summit.As an astronomy research institute under the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute,Korea's largest 1.8m reflecting telescope and solar flare telescope, etc.It has numerous astronomical observation facilities.Located at the top of Bohyeonsan Mountain, it is a beautiful place where you can capture the sunset.The scenery is really niceThe access road up the winding mountain road requires caution when driving.There is a paragliding site at Sirubong Peak on Bohyeonsan Mountain.

The walking path is good and the view is good. It's a perfect place for astronomical observations, especially at night. There are events, so you can plan by looking at the website. And there is a seat on the second floor near Sirubong, so it's good for a packed lunch.
