They say the peak season is between June and July, but there was still something to see even when I went in early August. The day was so hot, but it was nice to cool off and move around in the metasequoia forest.Lavender ice cream is really delicious. There were a lot of goods to see and it was fun.

This instagrammable farm begins with encountering an adorable purple road before the main gate.Went to in the weekdays. Able to enjoyed without crowd. The farm was actually very small and cozy. More likely a big garden rather than a farm. Lavenders are just right enough to taking picture but unfortunately there were not enough to fully enjoy the view. The farm boasts many variations of flowers, not only lavender.Ice cream was alright(4,500won)with light fragrance and color and smooth and creamy taste.Great place for couples who live nearby or people who like drive(3hrs from Seoul. One way!) You can easily explore here in an hour. Spending one night near the sea in Kangwon province would be a great option.Overall, here can be an alternative place to spend time if you’re tired of the sheep farm with affordable price of entrance fee. It’s still overrated somewhat in social media but probably worth it if you like taking pictures.

Went in May, the entry was free and there was no one. Of course not many flowers and no lavender, but we still enjoyed ourselves. The place was peaceful and beautiful.

Really pretty. June is the best time to go so you can see the lavender flowers. We went in August and it was still a fun trip.

Beautiful place. We went there on Friday, but still there were a lot of people. The lavender field is not too big, affordable size to enjoy beautiful colour of lavender and other flowers. Dont forget to enjoy a delicious lavender icecream and cup of lavender lemon tea.

Beautiful lavender experience. But honestly a little underwhelming for the 3 hour ride from Seoul. The lavender farm was rather busy with locals, and had two major lavender clusters. The clusters were rather packed with people eager to take photos but you could definitely find clear spots if you’re patient. The larger cluster had more dense lavender but also more tourists taking photos. The other cluster was rather sparse and some were very small. My favorite was the lavender ice cream (3500 won). The flavor was light and the ice cream texture wasn’t especially smooth but the ice cream was a welcome delight after all the photos around the farm. The owners did have tourists and photographers in mind when designing the farm as there were multiple spots available for photo taking - telephone booth, bench, European style houses.About 45 minutes is more than enough to take pictures and walk around the farm. The small lavender flower packs were a great deal (1500won) for souvenirs.I’ll definitely hire Mr Denny Yu from toursbylocals if you’re interested for a private tour from Seoul. Our family of 11 wouldn’t have made it to the farm otherwise!!
