The Perseid meteor shower is at its peak.Among the candidate sites, we chose Deokjusanseong Fortress in Jecheon. All candidate locations were scheduled to be cloudy. But when I looked again about an hour before arrival,Other candidate sites are clear... Clouds over Jecheon Bay...😢Among the places I quickly looked for, the place that caught my eye was Chiaksan Mountain.Rather, even if you search for the Chiaksan Milky Way or Chiaksan Constellations, there are only a few. There was an auto camping site nearby, so everyone went there, so there were only about five cars, including us, at Guryong No. 2 public parking lot.Did everyone open the sunroof in the car? No one was out.I spread out a mat in front of a commercial building, lay down side by side, and had a hard time.I got to see countless stars and about six meteor showers in about an hour and a half. This is my first time seeing shooting stars... not just one or two, but several...It was such a wonderful experience.Although I am only a small human, I will work hard to live.

Being one of the major national parks in the country, Chiak emits the graciousness presenting the scale and depth from the inner side of the peninsula.

A beautiful National Park. Hiking trails follow a river with excellent photo opportunities. The hiking becomes rather difficult the second half. There are many stairs so be prepared.

Hiked to the peak through Guryongsa Temple route in November. For first timers and not expert hikers it will take around 6-8 hours (it took us 8) to reach the peak (Birobong peak). The view is spectacular but it is not an easy hike. It is highly recommended to prepare before the hike. There are two routes on the way to the peak. Via staircase or the rocky route.
