Visited on August 14, 2024.There is a rocky island called Baekseom outside Geojin Port, and a sea bridge has been built right next to Baekseom. Of course, there is no entrance fee, and several cars can be parked on the road in front of the observatory entrance.Even though it is an observatory, it is just an open view of the East Sea, the surrounding coast, and Geojin Port, so there is no special view, but there are pine trees growing here and there even among the rocks of Baekseom Island, so I thought it had great vitality.I went on a summer night, and it was cool, and the sunset was still there, so I watched it until the end.

The view of the sea is nice, and the floor is made of transparent glass, so it's a little scary, but it's worth a visit.

It was the most memorable place during my trip to Goseong, Gangwon-do.It was almost 1pm, so I parked on the side of the road, but if you go too far in, it's hard to get out.As I walked, I saw jellyfish in the sea. When you go to the observatory, there are a lot of people snorkeling in the sea. The sea water is really clean and I feel like jumping in with my child if I have the time and equipment. When I went up to the observatory, I felt even better because of the even more beautiful scenery. It's nice to go up to the observatory for a while and see the scenery, but I think you should come here for the observatory + snorkeling.#Gangwon-do Goseong Observatory #Baekseom Marine Observatory #Goseong Snorkeling Recommendation #Good for taking pictures of Goseong #Parking is bad

You can walk around the Baekseom Marine Observatory and even snorkel. However, you should be careful because you can see a lot of jellyfish.Visit Korea:It was developed from March 2019 to October 2020 as part of the Geojin Port Fishing Village Tourism Experience Village development project, and was opened to tourists on October 30, 2020. It has a total length of 137m and a height of 4~25m, and connects the coastal road with Baekseom Island (Baekam Island), allowing you to view Haegeumgang and Geumgudo Island to the north while walking on the beautiful East Sea, and Geojin Port and Geojin 11-ri Beach to the south. It is spectacular. Part of the 25m high observatory has a transparent tempered glass floor. It is a marine deck that connects Baekseom Island (Baekam Island) located behind Geojin and the coastal road, and is 137m long, 2.5m wide, and 4~25m high. If you climb up to the marine observatory, you can see the beautiful scenery of the East Sea, Haegeumgang River, Geumgu Island, and Geojin Port.

The sea itself.Although it is a rugged local observatory, it is a place where you can hear the sound of waves crashing endlessly.Parking is available on the nearby road (see photo), but there are no auxiliary facilities such as restrooms. There are stairs to go down to the short stone beach.
