Take Line 1 to Busan Station. Then get out at exit 4. Then take bus 88 or 101 to the “Taejongdae elementary school” stop (about 40 mins .. you can track it in Naver Maps app).Brilliant hike for a few hours. It’s about 4.2km round trip to hike it, but you can also purchase a road—train ticket for 4000KRW and just ride the train between stops.Absolute must do is the lighthouse and walk to the top. It’s a lot of stairs but marvellous views from up there! And, it’s freezing! I went on a 25 degree day with full sunshine and wished i’d brought my hoodie. The wind sweeps off the sea and right through the park and it feels cold 🥶 even on a hot day. So bring your windbreaker with you.

Taejongdae Resort Park is a must-visit when in Busan! The hiking trails, observation deck, and lighthouse offer breathtaking views of the sea that make any trip memorable. At the observation deck, there's a convenient restaurant and store where I enjoyed some ice cream and a refreshing drink—a nice touch to a day of exploring. There are also plenty of friendly stray cats around, which is a bonus for cat lovers. Although the temple was somewhat underwhelming, everything else more than made up for it. The climb to the lighthouse is a bit steep and narrow, especially with two-way traffic, but the panoramic view at the top is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Busan's coastline!
