The walk is a little bit challenging because it is entirely stairs all the way to the summit. The stairs are in good condition. When you arrive at the summit, there are many places to sit and rest. It can get very busy at times with large groups of people. The track is one way so you will not encounter people coming in the opposite direction. The view from the summit is nice and looks over the island below and out to sea. Also there is a large crater at the top that you can get a good impression of.Tickets are required to access, and there is a person at a booth, as well as automated ticket machines.

The hike was tiring, and the views leading up to the peak were great. However, I found the overall experience a bit underwhelming, as the views—while nice—weren't among the most spectacular I've encountered. The crater itself was the highlight, but the effort required didn’t seem to fully match the scenery.

An hour climb to the top with free parking at the bottom.Buy a ticket using cash from the ticket booth or the automated machines which is credit card only.Go early. Big crowds here towards lunchtime and try avoiding the big tour buses carrying the noisy Chinese maindlanders!Takes 1 hr to climb up with lots of narrow n steep stairs. There are places to rest n recover every few steps.Bring water. Bring sunglasses. And bring a towel for sweat.
