The customer service before the ascent is very inhospitable, and the gift shop is pitiful at best. The engineering that went into the cable cars is actually amazing - the stability, automatic doors and maintenance are all old-school, and are very suitable for Palgongsan. Unfortunately, the gaps on the sides of the cable cars cannot be adjusted, allowing wind and snow to freeze the customers during the ascent and descent. Nonetheless, the view(s) during the ride is completely worth the price.
