One of the recommended attractions in Seoul, the ticket is 1,000 won. It is recommended to arrive before 11 o'clock in the morning. You can see the changing ceremony performance. It is interesting to take pictures and check in. Buy the ticket after watching.

Deoksugung Palace, a quiet palace in the middle of downtown Seoul! Deoksugung Palace, located between tall buildings, is a place where you can feel a unique charm by combining modern atmosphere and tradition. In particular, the view from in front of Seokjojeon was even more impressive as it felt as if Europe and the Joseon Dynasty coexisted.A moment when you feel emotional as you walk along the stone wall road of Deoksugung Palace! Wearing a hanbok will add more ambiance, but if you want a natural and sophisticated look, I got K-beauty style makeup and skin care at BeautyPin, which was great. I was able to take an even more special photo with subtle makeup that went well with the quiet sensibility of Deoksugung Palace!

The place is nice but, as a foreigner, I think you need a strong background in Korean and Japanese History to enjoy this place. I don’t have this so it was kind of frustrating.

Exploring a Korean palace felt like stepping into history. The ornate gates, colorful dancheong patterns, and serene courtyards contrasted beautifully with the modern skyline. Walking through the halls where kings once ruled was both peaceful and awe-inspiring.

I recently visited Deoksugung Palace and had a wonderful experience. Admission was free, and the atmosphere outside the palace was lively with a political rally taking place. Even with the cacophony of sounds, the views inside were comforting. The historic architecture and well-kept gardens provided a peaceful escape from the bustling city outside. Definitely worth a visit!

Been living in Seoul for 5 years now and it’s such a shame I haven’t been here up until 2 weeks ago.Deoksugung boasts a beautiful mix of traditional Korean and late 19th century Western architecture inside its premises, which I think reflects the transition of Korea into a more modern version of itself, as well as touches of the West ushered in by Emperor Gojong back in the day. Inside are museums and some galleries; however, I suggest checking them and reserving them prior to visit as they can get sold out fast. Entrance tickets though to the palace can be purchased on-site without any problem.

This is a fantastic place and a testimony of Korean History through the centuries. Almost no one was there and we could enjoy the place peacefully. Many beautiful buildings to see in a natural atmosphere. Different museums like the light museum, the nations museum and the outstanding ink paintings museum. We spent easily 3 hours there. The water was removed of all the places (garden, fountains, etc). I believe it is because of water contamination and the fact they are cleaning the areas.
