I stopped by on my way to Hyundai Premium Outlet.I am very happy that there are many museums nearby that children can visit. The sky is so clear that the photo looks pretty. It consists of the first and second floors. The first floor is coins. The second floor is divided by bills. Easy to remember, right? The children were interested in learning how to make coins, so we bought 1,000 won trial products one by one at the counter on the first floor and stamped them with a stamper. It’s suitable as a bookmark~It was great because there was a lot to see and things to study.Perhaps, if you grow up a little and have a wealth of economic common sense, you will understand why bills worth hundreds of millions of dollars were issued. And you might be greedy about collecting coins or bills.

There are interesting elements such as the history of currency and how to make it. It's nice to be able to see old currency as well as new currency.

I don't know much about it for amateurs, but there are a lot of old coins on display, so they may be valuable.

The museum itself is very nicely curated. I particularly enjoyed the Olympic coin history and exhibit. But what made the visit unforgettable for me was the staff. As a Canadian visiting from the USA, they went out of their way to help me and make sure I got the most out of my visit. Especially M and her supervisor. I'll always have a warm feeling in my heart for Korea because of their kindness and friendliness. Perfect ambassadors for Korea!

I work in the industry and I have to admit that the exhibitions are pretty well curated. Miniature Intaglio press and paper machine are impressive! Compared to its equivalent in Finland, here is more substance and more background for money making hardware. On the other hand in currency museum of Helsinki there is more about mechanisms behind the value of the money.

This place is an awesome experience. I enjoyed how the staff did speak English and helped us with all our questions. They had an aluminum press there that you can buy a bookmark size aluminum sheet that you can press yourself into a cool looking bookmark with a pressing of the old school Korean coins. The bottom floor is all about coins from long ago to today. They even have coins from all the Olympics and the world cup. The main part I enjoyed was the star wars coins, that was a surprise.Upstairs was all about paper money and national medals they award to outstanding citizens and soldiers of Korea. They also had a section on how they combat counterfeit bills from all over the world. Most of it was money that was produced pre 1910 Japanese invasion, during the Japanese occupation, and after August 15, 1945. It was very informative to see how the Korean won has evolved. In one of the last rooms, you visit they have money from all over the world that's on display. From bills to coins. Was really cool to see vintage American money in there as well. By far the coolest monetary note was the Swiss. Vertical bills...Awesome visit. Entry is free. Self-guided tour. Helpful staff that speaks English. There is a small souvenir store inside near the cafe. It acts as a small 7-11 as well. You can get old commemorative coins and even some bills from North Korea and other countries. They also sold coins from jorea and uncut bills from the mint. They had 10 5 and 1's bills that were uncut.

To be honest, I expected more from a museum. I thought, at least there would be gift shops selling commemorative coins. But it's just a small place with displays and infornation. At least, for money lovers, it's something to look into. Very informative.
