도마령은 충청북도 영동군 상촌면과 전라북도 무주군 부남면 사이에 있는 고갯길입니다.
해발 800m의 높이에 위치하며, 영동군의 최고봉인 민주지산(해발 1,241m) 자락에 있습니다.
도마령은 옛날에는 충청도와 전라도를 연결하는 중요한 교통로였습니다. ‘칼을 든 장수가 말을 타고 이곳을 넘었다’는 의미의 ‘도마령’이라는 이름이 유래되었고, ‘답마령’이라는 옛 이름도 전해지고 있습니다.

도마령은 아름다운 자연경관으로 유명합니다. 정상에 오르면 영동군과 무주군의 멋진 풍경을 감상할 수 있습니다. 또한, 봄에는 진달래가 만발하여 아름다운 꽃길을 자랑합니다.

도마령에는 다양한 레저 활동을 즐길 수 있는 시설들이 있습니다. 캠핑장, 펜션, 낚시장 등이 있으며, 트레킹, 자전거 타기, 낚시 등을 즐길 수 있습니다.

It is a good starting point for hiking Mt. Minjooji. The parking lot and restrooms have been newly built. There is also an observation deck. I think it would be nice to ride a bike.
