Jangansa Temple was founded by Monk Wonhyo in the 13th year of King Munmu of the Unified Silla, and has buildings such as Daeungjeon Hall, the central building, Myeongbujeon Hall, Eungjinjeon Hall, and Sanshingak Pavilion.When looking at Daeungjeon Hall from the side, it has a colorful hipped-and-gabled roof that is in the shape of eight figures.In the building, the main Buddha, Sakyamuni Buddha, is enshrined, with Amitabha Buddha on the right and Yaksa Buddha on the left. The building is relatively high and robust, and the magnificent atmosphere is well represented as the central building of the temple.Famous restaurants near Daeungjeon Hall of Jangansa Temple in Gijang include Jangan Bonga and Chowonjip.In Jangan Main Street, you can taste seafood soup with clams, scallops, octopus, and abalone.And a restaurant called Chowonjip sells duck bulgogi and baeksuk.The tourist attraction near the cultural property is Gijang Orangdae Park. It is a quiet tiny Buddhist temple. It is sitting on the foot of a mountain, a creek running next to the temple. There aren't much to do sightseeing but if you want a getaway, it might provide you with some fresh air and quietness. And there are some restaurants shown on TV. I have never tried those but they are certainly tempting.

I shortly visited this temple. It has a good trekking course. You can walk around the temple. As I stayed there very shortly, it is not appropriate to describe my experience here.
