금정산성은 대한민국 부산광역시 금정구에 있는 삼국시대의 산성입니다. 해발 801.5m의 금정산 정상에 위치하고 있으며, 동래읍성(東萊邑城)과 함께 부산 지역의 대표적인 조선시대 산성입니다.

역사
금정산성의 축성 시기는 정확히 알려져 있지 않지만, 삼국시대에 축조된 것으로 추정됩니다. 임진왜란 당시 왜군에 의해 함락되었으나, 1703년(숙종 29)에 다시 쌓았습니다.

규모
금정산성은 길이 18,845m, 높이 1.5~3m, 총면적은 약 818,177㎡에 이르는 국내에서 가장 규모가 큰 산성입니다.

구조
금정산성은 산 정상을 따라 성벽을 쌓은 테뫼식 산성입니다. 성벽은 석축과 토축으로 이루어져 있으며, 성문은 동서남북 4곳에 설치되어 있습니다.

관광
금정산성은 금정산의 아름다운 자연 경관을 감상할 수 있는 곳으로, 등산 코스로도 인기가 많습니다. 성내에는 망해루, 봉수대, 제석암 등 다양한 유적지가 있습니다.

I hiked 9km from Geumgang cable car station to Beomeosa temple in 3 hours. To get to Geumgang park, you can take line 1 metro to Dongnae+bus+walk or oncheonjang+walk. The cable car costs 6000 won one way or 9000 won return. It was snowing a bit and the ground was hard/frozen. The trail is a bit challenging but easy to find. The first 2km has not much view because it goes through the forest. There are a few spots which is rocky and a bit steep. The view starting from the second half of the trail is amazing! You can see 360 degree of Busan city, ocean and mountains. It is super windy and cold despite the sun. There are no tourist and only a few local hikers. When I get to the southern gate, there is an option to hike up to the highest peak or turn right to Beomeosa temple. From here, the descend to the temple took me 30 min and I find the rocky path very annoying.

Fort entrance, with nice views and partial reconsteuctions of the wall. There are access from the Beomeosa temple or the south gate (longer). Restrooms are available near the gate. Hikers and families will enjoy it. Moderate difficulty.

Great place for hiking, there are many ways can take, some easy some very hard, and many mountains connected, so if you have enough time you can take a long way and spend one day in the mountains.

It is a great place for half day hiking especially for family gathering. The trail is full of sign post and notice board to show the way. Before climb to the mountain top, there is a very large picnic area and shelter. The whole route is safe and good view on the rocky mountain top (801m high).
