The museum features a wide range of exhibits, including photographs, tools, and machinery used in coal mining. A specialized museum built in Danggol by Taebaek City that realistically displays the reality of coal mines with the theme of coal. It was very helpful in understanding the coal mines and the lives of coal workers.

I've been to Taebaek a few times... but this was my first time visiting the Coal Museum. Since I had been to the Coal Museum in Mungyeong, I didn't go there because I thought it would be similar...This time, I visited with many family members, and the feeling and environment of Taebaek was a different experience... I went in lightly, but I had a lot of thoughts and learned a lot. It's a good place for both parents and children to visit at least once, and it is said that even the last coal mine has closed. It is said to be the largest coal mine museum in Asia where you can experience it indirectly, so I recommend you to visit and have a good experience. I am looking forward to seeing it very well. ^^*

Very interesting historical establishment. It shows years of history of the coal mining in Taebaek to include the evolution of the tooling used in coal mining industry. There are numerous rocks of different values on display on one of the floors. There is an admission cost of 2000 won which can be paid for at the entrance.

Built up in the heart of Korean coal mining region, this museum tells you a story of such hard labor. Unfortunately due to Corona situation I couldn't get into the museum itself, but the area around is flooded with rusty mining machinery and realistic sculptures. Definitely must visit place!
