Montorang Sheep Ranch (몽토랑산양목장)

Montorang Goat Farm is a delightful retreat nestled amidst the picturesque mountains of Taebaek, South Korea. This charming farm offers visitors a unique opportunity to interact with friendly goats, learn about sustainable farming practices, and savor the farm’s fresh, artisanal goat milk products.

The name “Montorang” is a combination of Korean words meaning “fluffy clouds, plump goats, you and me, and farm.” This name perfectly encapsulates the serene atmosphere of the farm, where visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The farm is home to a herd of happy goats that roam freely in spacious pastures. Visitors can feed the goats, learn about their care, and even participate in goat milking demonstrations.

In addition to animal encounters, Montorang Goat Farm offers a variety of farm-fresh products made from the farm’s goat milk. Visitors can sample and purchase delicious goat milk yogurt, cheese, and other dairy products made with traditional methods. The farm also has a cozy cafe where visitors can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while taking in the stunning mountain views.

I only had the latte, but the latte wasn't that good. I didn't try the bread, but the view was very nice.

The air and scenery are the best!Admission ticket: 5,000 won, food: 5,000 won.It is a place where you can experience feeding the goats at a high location, so if you take a picture, it becomes a pictorial. My child really liked it, but since it is literally natural grazing, the sheep and goats easily approach people. However, I think you need to be careful about the bathroom and inside the cafe (the chair cushions are so dirty).

I think I went a little early on a weekday and felt relaxed. There were baby pigs grazing on the road at the entrance, so I waited and barely managed to avoid them so I went in. I was a little scared because the goats knew they were feeding people, so I was a little scared, but they didn't attack. The ranch is not very big, so you can look around quickly, and if you climb up and avoid the round goat poop, you will reach Taebaek City. I could see the panoramic view, and the cafe and ranch had nice green scenery.

There’s a cafe and a big meadow when you go up the narrow paved way. Plenty of parking lots were available along the way to the cafe. Pets were allowed at the outdoor place with seats. The breads were not bad. Drinks were good. Some drinks were made with the goat milk.Mountain goat meadow was great. You should pay the entrance fee in advance to enter the meadow and interact with the mountain goats. You can just buy drinks or breads and stay in the cafe. The toilets were small.Note: Apple Pay was not accepted.
