It's great for a quiet walk and natural healing. There weren't many people and I looked around the old house quietly. At the intersection of the road in the middle of the village, you feel the cool breeze blowing from the mountain, which makes you feel better.Perhaps because it has been designated as a crime-free village, the houses do not have gates. On the way out after looking around the village, I went into the folk museum at the entrance, and a local old man came by and kindly explained about old items and various old books. I was impressed by the object and its use for the first time, but I also felt sad when I heard the story of the slave document. Before hearing the explanation about the slave document, I thought it was just a slave document, but after hearing the grandfather's explanation, my eyes just got red. What's a bit disappointing is that everyone has left, there are a lot of empty houses, and the neighborhood isn't that big.

With the outbreak of the Japanese Invasion of Korea, Nongpo Jeongmunbu, a civil servant, fled. When the war ended, he returned home (Jeonju) and bequeathed all his assets to his granddaughter and son-in-law, Lee Kang. Lee Kang, who lived in Yangdong Village, Gyeongju, moved here and settled down. As a member of the Yeogang Lee clan, he formed a village for over 400 years and continues to live there to this day. Deokdong Village was designated as the 15th cultural village by the government in 1992, and was also designated as an environmentally friendly village in 2001.It has been a village for over 400 years, and about 200 relics are on display at the Deokdong Folk Exhibition Hall. It was registered as the nation's 4th recorded village by the National Archives of Korea and is also the village with the oldest history among the 10 villages in the country. There are also National Cultural Heritage No. 81 Yonggyejeong, Aeundang Old House, Sawoojeong Old House, Yeoyeodang Old House, and Deokgye Seodang, where the Nongpo Jeongmunbu resided, as well as Odeok-ri Modern Hanok, which is designated as a cultural heritage of the Republic of Korea. It is also the best in the village. There is a pond called Hosanjidang. The mountain is strong, but there is little water, so it is said that it is a pond created to trap water because talented people cannot be released. Deokdong Village is said to have originated from the meaning of a village where many virtuous people live together. It would not be an exaggeration to say that the entire village is a museum, including an experience center where you can experience culture and an exhibition hall that preserves and displays the relics of the Yeogang Lee clan. In addition, it will be fun to walk in search of Deokyeongok Valley (Sutongyeon, Makaedae, Seocheon Falls, Dosong, Yeoneodae, Gapyudae, Undeungyeon, Waryongam, and Sapyeon), which were built under the influence of Chinese runner Muigugok, but some of them are damaged in their original form. Also, there is Seduksa Temple Site next to Yonggyejeong Pavilion, which has been designated as Gyeongsangbuk-do Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 243.It is said that in the 5th year of King Gojong's reign, when Yonggyejeong and Seduksa (Seowon) were on the verge of demolition due to Heungseon Daewongun's order to abolish academies, the villagers gathered together and built a wall to separate Yonggyejeong and Seduksa all night to protect Yonggyejeong. However, it is unfortunate that because it is a village in a remote area of Pohang, empty houses are abandoned like ugly ruins, and, unlike a cultural village, European-style prefabricated houses and crude modern buildings are placed in odd places, leaving a big scar on the old-fashioned cultural village. There is an experience center and an exhibition hall, and there is a parking lot, restrooms, and a restaurant.

The historical house community in Pohang has a quiet environment and sparsely populated areas. It is not large in scale. Although it is a holiday, there are very few people visiting. I personally think it is a good place worth visiting.
