I visited Noryangjin Fisheries Wholesale Market in the evening. I was a bit surprised that most places were already closed and there were rather few people. Luckily I was able to find one great local place that served different types of very tasty and fresh seafood. I would recommend going there earlier during the day. It says on Google Maps that it's open 24 hours. It probably is, just later in the evening almost everything is closed...

The stall I visited this time had basically everything you need. It's at 111 if you want to try. Also, for choosing snow crabs, pick the ones with the black spots on its back. The reason is because they are an indicator that the crab hasn't molted yet and is full of sweet meat. The spots don't affect the inside of the crab, they are just clinging onto the shell.

Great place to get fresh, live seafood for your meals. Do check out all the stores first to see what they offer. After selecting your seafood, they'll bring you up to their partner restaurants to get the food prepared. Simply delicious and exciting.

As a tourist it is quite a fun place to wander through. Need a bit if a strong stomach with all the chopped up fish and weird stuff us westerners are not used to.For a wet market it is very clean and not at all smelly. It is a huge market. I recommend the fried shrimp etc in level 2. Cheap and delicious.

Been here twice. You will be spilt for choices as there are so so many stores for you to choose from. Do walk around to see who can give a good price and best size. You can negotiate for a cheaper price and see if they can allow. They will also bring you to a restaurant where they will cook your seafood. I have to say all items are very fresh so just steam or bake will do. No need to add any sauce or fry with anything. Clam soup is normal but will be good to drink during cold season.
