It is the most beautiful, wonderful, and highest mountain in Jeju.In particular, the view of Hallasan Mountain that can be seen as you climb the final uphill road is so beautiful. It's great for a walk with your family, and it's great to feel the clean air and greenery!
Approximately 2.5km from parking lotHalf of it is comfortable and half of it requires a bit of effort. But the view from around the summit is really nice. The view of Jeju City to the north is very good.To the south, the scenery of Hanhasan Mountain and the surrounding mountains is very beautiful.
I tried to go to Hallasan Mountain's Yeongsil Course, but the waiting line at the parking lot was too long, so I gave up and chose this place. The view of Hallasan from the top was so spectacular that I was glad I couldn't go to Hallasan. I took a short break to go up, but it took about 40 minutes and was very tiring haha. But... you must go.
A place where you can perfectly see the panoramic scenery of Jeju and Hallasan Baeknokdam through a one-hour round trip hike. The hiking trail that starts from the parking lot of Gwoemul Oreum is prettier, and if you have time, it would be a good idea to trek along with Jatseong-gil.
After passing Big Nokkome Oreum and Little Nokkome Oreum, I returned to the starting point along Sangjatseong Road. It is a walk of approximately 7km.It's a great place to walk when it snows. The peak of Keunokome is 833m, but it is not a very difficult hike since you start at more than 500m above sea level. In winter, you must bring crampons. There is a commercial stand, you can see the scenery of Hallasan Mountain, and the view toward Noro Oreum is also good. The secluded Sangjatseong-gil return course is also a beautiful path.It is recommended as an alternative when climbing Mt. Halla is blocked.
At first, when I read the posts, I was a bit intimidated. Some people said that they were cursed at, and some said that it was the hardest oreum in Jeju... So I climbed it with the thought that I should try bumping into it. ABCD is divided into 4 zones, and the most difficult zone is the C zone. The AB section just went up with a light heart. It takes about 10 minutes.. It wasn't too hard even after entering section C, so the moment I thought I was scared for nothing, the sloping stairs came out. It was about 160 and went up in about 10 minutes. I thought this was worth doing, but the stairway that I thought was over came back infrequently, and the uphill road showed no signs of ending. So it went up again for about 10 minutes. Then, a large pavilion chair appeared and a signpost announcing the end of Area C and the beginning of Area D appeared. By the way... The starting point of Area D wasn't that easy either. You have to think that you will struggle for about 5 minutes more and go up. If you climb like that, a very beautiful scenery spreads out. I couldn't see it well because the weather was not so good, but it was still pretty. When I came down, the snow was very slippery, so I had a hard time. You can wear sneakers, but there is a lot of water and snow, so hiking boots are recommended. It took me a total of 2 hours to start from the parking lot there, climb to the top and come back down. I'm a really slow walker and I don't have much motor nerves, so you can think of it as the time it takes for those who want to take it easy.
