Among the three major Protestant missionary bases, the First Church of the House of God was the birthplace of Christianity in Yeongnam. It is also a place where the blood and sweat of missionaries Baird and Adam are buried.Protestant missions served as an opportunity to open the door to modernization in our society. It became an opportunity to produce many pioneers in Yeongnam through hospitals, schools, and churches.

Daegu First Church, the old First Church, has been converted into a museum where everyone can go and view the historical background of the missionaries in Daegu at that time, including videos of the missionaries at that time and related missionary items (books, clothes, etc.). After careful observation, there are also many photos as records of the time.In addition, the engraving and printing at that time is also introduced in the middle. Everyone can use it once to experience the traditional printing technology at that time, which is quite historical. There are also many foreigners visiting the museum. If you have the opportunity, you can also communicate. There is a service staff at the counter who is very welcoming. If you need anything, you can also ask the counter.

(Old) Daegu First ChurchIt displays relevant cultural relics and records from the founding of the church and the March 1 movement. What is special is that there is a place where the text of the "Korean Declaration of Independence" can be printed, allowing visitors to do it by themselves.Currently, there is a very cute and enthusiastic grandma working here as a staff member who can speak Japanese. If visitors do not understand Korean, she will also briefly introduce some modern Korean history in Japanese. Please note that it is not open to the public during lunch time 12:00~13:00!Note: The current (new) Daegu First Church church is located near 3.1 Sports Road and Cheongna Hill.

This is the former temple of Jeil Church, the first church in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, and is currently used as a history museum. It is a precious place where you can feel the relics of the late Pastor Lee Sang-geun and the long history of the church. There is also the Yangnyeongsi Museum nearby, so it is a must-visit place on your modern alley tour.

Cool museum about the history of Christianity in Daegu, specifically the First Presbyterian Church. Many artifacts and pictures from the early years. Worth a few minutes. Free.

It is a good place to understand our country's modernization process. It is a good facility to visit as a historical site rather than a religious one.

The first floor of the Daegu Jeil Church building, which was built in the 1930s, is an exhibition room. The content is so rich that if you take your time looking at it, you'll spend more and more time, including many old Bibles and valuable videos. There seemed to be a church service on the second floor, and I could hear singing voices coming from above the ceiling.
