8 Oct 2023:The place has nice architecture and there are a few tourists taking photos outside of the cathedral. Not a must-visit location, but perhaps nice to stop for a few photos if you are nearby. This place is walkable from Myeongdong street (use NaverMap for walking navigation).
It is not only the official bishop's residence but also the oldest Western-style brick building in Korea. Located in Myeongdong, the most commercial street in Seoul, amidst masses of tourists enjoying shopping for cosmetics and street food, Catholic pilgrims from around the world visit this historical building, which has witnessed over 200 years of modern Korean history. The cathedral has its own history museum, which is free to visit and highly recommended.

The 1st Catholic Church in Korea. Lovely architecture and full of history. The church is a must for all Catholics. The facilities are also well maintained and they do have food store in the lower level.
The first Church in South Korea, built over 125 years old. Attended packed Sunday Mass. A touching experience in a very devout setting. The Crypt was another unique experience of silent contemplation and connecting with the Creator of life.
